About Me

Growing Heritage In Quebec Soil

Angélique Diène moved from Senegal to Quebec in 2013 and founded Vilicatio, an agricultural enterprise, in 2020. Vilicatio grows crops such as okra and bissap that are new to Quebec, celebrating Black culinary heritage and encouraging agricultural diversity.

Since 2022, Vilicatio has organized the Terracott’Art festival. Angélique is now relaunching the business around a cooperative model and import-export between Quebec and Senegal.
